Fully priced rows first, cheapest first; then rows with a fee whose currency isn't stated or that comes from a dated range; "not published" fees are never counted as zero, so those rows come last. Section 338 is not ruled out for this code: the lists are images and changed on Invalid Date, so check your code if you're unsure.

How the estimate works
- Value in US dollars. A Canadian-dollar order is converted at the Bank of Canada daily rate (1.4036 on Oct 28, 2026).
- Normal duty. The “General” rate for your product’s code in the US tariff schedule. For the products in the list we looked each one up; for anything else, you enter the rate.
- Plus the Section 301 tariff of 10%, unless you say the item qualifies for CUSMA and the channel files the claim. Canada Post’s duty partner confirms a CUSMA claim on mail removes the normal duty but not the tariff, so Canada Post is shown with the tariff.
- Warnings instead of numbers for Section 338 goods (may be 50%, check the code), Section 232 goods (a broker’s job) and parcels over US$2,500 (formal entry).
- Each channel’s own published fees on top. Where a channel doesn’t publish a fee, the result says “not published” and never counts it as zero.
Most goods made in Canada pay an extra 10% tariff (Section 301) on top of their normal US duty, since July 24, 2026.

Vendor statementZonos, Canada Post's duty partner, told us in writing on October 29, 2026 that since October 22 a CUSMA claim on a Canada Post shipment under US$2,500 brings the normal duty to 0%, but does not currently remove the 10% Section 301 tariff, and it has no date for that. Its public page was contradicting itself and Zonos says it is being corrected.

What it can’t tell you
- Courier brokerage fees. UPS, FedEx and Purolator don’t publish what they charge to clear a Canadian parcel into the US. Ask them for a quote, or see what shows on your account.
- Postage. It depends on weight, size and distance. Compare it on each provider’s site.
- Whether your product really qualifies for CUSMA. That depends on where it and its materials were made. The rules and paperwork are summarized on which rate your product pays.
For the fees behind each channel’s number, see the cheapest way to ship to the US, and for the mail-specific fees, Canada Post to the US.
