You work alone but need QuickBooks sync

Jobber Core doesn't sync with QuickBooks. The cheapest Jobber plan that does is Connect (1 user) at US$139/mo on monthly billing. These apps include QuickBooks sync for one person for less:

You're paying for a big crew

Jobber prices by team size. For 10 people the cheapest Jobber plan is Connect (10 users) at US$299/mo. Apps that don't charge per person cost less at that size:

Card fees eat your margin

Jobber charges 2.9% + 30¢ when a customer pays an invoice online, which is $11.90 on a $400 invoice. Apps that charge less online: ServiceM8 on its Premium plan at 2.69% + 30¢ ($11.06).

In person, Jobber's Tap to Pay is 2.7% + 30¢ ($11.10 on $400). Lower in person: Housecall Pro at 2.59% ($10.36).

In Canada Jobber offers no bank payment option, so every online payment is a card payment. Every app's card fees

You sell maintenance agreements

Jobber's pricing page doesn't list which plan includes maintenance or service agreements, so confirm it on a call before you buy. These apps publish the plan, cheapest for a 5-person crew first:

You have more than 15 people

Jobber publishes no price past 15 users ("Let's chat"). These apps publish a price for 20 people:

You want to be billed in Canadian dollars

Jobber bills Canadians in US dollars. Of the apps we track, only these publish Canadian-dollar plan prices:

Monthly subscription on monthly billing from each app's own pricing page (US$ = billed in US dollars), cheapest plan that covers the crew and the feature. Card fees and offers not included here.

If you’re staying, two cheaper fixes

Paying for the year up front drops Jobber™ Core from US$49 to US$29 a month (non-refundable, and it locks in that day’s exchange rate). Card fees are harder to cut in Canada because Jobber offers no bank payment option here; you can add a surcharge to card payments where your province and the card networks allow it. Housecall Pro alternatives

Housecall Pro publishes only US-dollar prices, puts maintenance agreements on Max only (US$329 a month) and makes a 6 or 7 person crew pay for 8 users on Max. ServiceM8 includes agreements from Growing at $79 a month in Canadian dollars. Full two-way comparison: Jobber vs Housecall Pro.

Jobber vs QuickBooks

QuickBooks keeps your books; Jobber runs quotes, the schedule, invoices and payments. Jobber syncs with QuickBooks Online and Xero from Connect (US$139 a month for one user), so you can use both.
